Managing Partner
FAQ
Our industry expertise is drawn from years at top manufacturing companies - Procter & Gamble, Kraft Heinz, Post Holdings, etc. Furthermore, we have experience serving the top factories within those companies - IWS (P&G Operational excellence designation) site 4 is the highest designation when it comes to leadership, productivity, and operational excellence. We've worked on multiple initiatives in IWS 4 sites.
We've experienced the industry from various perspectives - Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Systems Integrator, and more. Each one of these roles and opportunities shaped how we understand the intricate decisions around elevating a manufacturing practice.
We have extensive technical and business knowledge - from being able to understand the signals produced by every sensor via datasheets, to reading financial statements of your organization / facility. We believe that a critical components of this industry is a clear understanding of business goals paired with technologies that can get you there.
We view every customer as a lifelong partner. Our goal is to foster a foundation that will validate the relationship between both parties and confirm that a long term work agreement would be beneficial. This typically means that we'll conduct an audit of your operation, understand your process, and provide you with initial insights you can use to better your operation. This engagement is short term - typically one week on site and one week off-site for research, aggregation, and reports.
Our long term engagements vary based on the customer, industry, and needs. We've worked on 3 month long commissioning projects, and two year long line optimization projects. The process will start with a conversation about your needs, alignment of deliverables, key stakeholders, etc. Once that is clear, we'll submit a detailed proposal / plan and get to work with regular status check-ins as needed.
We believe that asking the right questions and establishing a long term commitment with any party you're looking to work with is critical. Do they have the knowledge or capability of building the knowledge you seek? Are they able to commit the attention you require to you, your business, and the challenges you're facing? Will they stay to help you implement the solutions they've proposed, or are they only interested in the initial commitment? Who's going to do the actual work - the partner that sold you on the vision, or a few recent hires with no domain expertise?
Consider that every relationship requires a trial period - regardless of the party you choose, make sure to set clear boundaries and expectations. Certain deliverables should be used to gauged the performance of the group, while others should be treated as deal breakers if missed.
We have a comprehensive breakdown of our services in a separate tab above. In short, we're specialists in manufacturing and enjoy solving complex operational challenges. These challenges boil down to producing more product, reducing waste, decreasing quality defects, etc. Keep in mind that the solutions to these challenges vary greatly. In certain instances we'll be training your team on how to effectively conduct a root cause analysis; in other instances, we'll be managing a project of deploying energy monitoring solutions to reduce your electrical bill; in other instances, we'll be analyzing the performance of your production lines and implementing ways to remove bottlenecks - Ex: filler, case packer, etc; in other instances, we'll help you commission a new facility to meet stringent standards of operational excellence.
